OUR END-OF-YEAR FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN IS IN FULL SWING!

Campaign seeks to raise $100,000 to fund Bartender Emergency Assistance Program before end of year

HENDERSON, NV (DECEMBER 15, 2020) - Today the USBG National Charity Foundation announces it has launched its end-of-year drive to fund the Bartender Emergency Assistance Program with a goal of raising $100,000 by December 31, 2020.

The campaign, which officially launched on December 1, will provide funds for grants to be awarded to those in the hospitality industry who encounter temporary, emergent, financial hardship due to unforeseen and/or catastrophic life events such as an accident, acute medical diagnosis, or wind, water, earth, or fire related natural disasters.

Said Genevieve Porter, Senior Foundation Program Manager, “2020 has taught us all that adverse life events can happen suddenly and, perhaps more disturbingly, under circumstances entirely out of our control. The fact that we’re already half-way to our fundraising goal demonstrates the level of compassion that exists in our industry and a willingness on the part of those who can afford to give, to do so.”

How to donate: Visit www.usbgfoundation.org/donate. You do not need to be a USBG member to contribute to the USBG Foundation’s Bartender Emergency Assistance Program. Donations are 100 percent tax deductible. More information for hospitality industry professionals who are interested in applying for a BEAP grant can be found at www.usbgfoundation.org/beap.
