Campari Day of Service Set to Draw Hundreds of Volunteers
USBG NATIONAL CHARITY FOUNDATION AND CAMPARI AMERICA SET TO DRAW HUNDREDS OF VOLUNTEERS TO THIRD-ANNUAL “CAMPARI DAY OF SERVICE” SEPTEMBER 15
“Service is at the core of everything we do at the USBG Foundation. At a time in the history of our industry and, more broadly, of our country when people are in extraordinary need and resources are scarce, it’s important for those of us who can contribute to the betterment of society to do so.” - Kim Haasarud, USBG National Charity Foundation Volunteer Board Member
Today, the USBG National Charity Foundation and Campari America announce that 700 volunteers have signed up to participate in the third annual Campari Day of Service, to be held on September 15th, 2020. The volunteers are projected to contribute more than 1,400 volunteer hours to non-profit organizations across the country.
Giving back in the time of COVID-19: The Campari Day of Service exists to increase participation among hospitality industry professionals in service activities in their local communities. While the spirit of the Campari Day of Service remains the same each year, the initiative looks very different in 2020. All activities are online and can be accomplished from the safety of volunteer’s homes, with a computer.
Said USBG National Charity Foundation Volunteer Board Member Kim Haasarud, “Service is at the core of everything we do at the USBG Foundation. At a time in the history of our industry and, more broadly, of our country when people are in extraordinary need and resources are scarce, it’s important for those of us who can contribute to the betterment of society to do so.”
Among the programs being supported with volunteer hours are:
THIRST Group: Use social media or phone to increase awareness around the THIRST Group's mission to advocate for legislation to aid imperiled bars.
Vocal iD: Join others from around the world in sharing the gift of voice through voice recording.
Small Kindness Checklist: Sometimes small acts can have a big impact. We know not everyone is able to donate a lot of time on Day of Service, so we have developed a list of acts of service that you can easily do from home. Do just one, do a couple, or tackle them all - up to you.
