BAR LUMINARY TONY ABOU-GANIM TO GUEST HOST USBG NATIONAL CHARITY FOUNDATION WEEKLY INSTAGRAM LIVE BRIEFING - Abou-Ganim to step in for Kim Haasarud on Thursday, July 23
HENDERSON, NV (JULY 21, 2020) - The USBG National Charity Foundation announces today that acclaimed bartender Tony Abou-Ganim, of Libertine Social in Las Vegas, will guest host the Foundation’s weekly Instagram Live briefing on Thursday, July 23 at noon Pacific/3 p.m. Eastern. The briefing will be held @USBGNCF.
In the briefing, Abou-Ganim will share his experience reopening a bar during the coronavirus pandemic, lessons learned, and recommendations for best practices based on those lessons.
Abou-Ganim is widely regarded as one of the pioneering and leading bar professionals in the world. He has made dozens of national TV appearances on shows including TODAY, Iron Chef America, Good Morning America, CNBC, Fox News and more. Abou-Ganim is the author of Vodka Distilled (Agate, 2013) and The Modern Mixologist: Contemporary Classic Cocktails (Agate, 2010) which offers readers an in-depth look into spirits and ingredients available to today’s mixologist, both professional and amateur alike.
He is also an active, lifetime member of the United States Bartenders’ Guild and founded the Helen David Relief Fund (HDRF) at the USBG Foundation for bartenders and their families affected by cancer. The HDRF, named for Abou-Ganim’s cousin, herself a bar owner, assists those in the bar industry who are fighting breast cancer and other forms of cancer, with the same dignity and courage that David exemplified throughout her battle and life as a pioneer business owner in the bar industry.
